Burn Out / Burn Off Ovens
Burn off or Burn Out Ovens are commonly used in the finishing industry to remove paint or powder coatings from metal hardware or equipment used during the process, such as line hooks and racks that transfer products through the application and curing process. These items become coated in the paint and periodically need to be cleaned. Burn off / Burn Out ovens are robust and use a form of incineration called pyrolysis by heating the material in an oxygen-controlled environment to a temperature that will destroy the organic material.
Overspray contamination and safety are the main reasons operators are concerned with to be concerned with excess buildup on system components. Traditional cleaning of metal parts can be time consuming and laborious, however Burn out/Burn off ovens easily remove and strip the paint and powder coatings from the fixtures so they can be re-used in the processes. It is critical to monitor temperatures to limit flare ups or damage the parts. These ovens are designed to create a vacuum condition with slight negative presser to mitigate the changes of fires.
