With the US economy opening back up, certain segments are exploding, bringing a combination of good news and harsh complications. Labor and material shortages are causing havoc in the manufacturing sector as well as in other industries.
From supply chain disruptions to vacancies in skilled labor such as welders and truck drivers, the effects are far reaching. Epcon is experiencing difficulties in purchasing steel and the delays of shipments of various components of the procured items, resulting in higher material prices and overtime, to meet our customers’ requirements and delivery deadlines.
Despite these difficulties, we are grateful to have a loyal and hardworking team to tackle these challenges head on.
